Christopher Ilitch, President and CEO of Ilitch Holdings, Inc. announced today that experienced marketing and communications executive Doug Kuiper is returning to Ilitch Holdings as its Chief Communications Officer.
Kuiper will lead the communications function across the Ilitch companies, helping the businesses communicate with key audiences. In his role, Kuiper will work with communications and marketing leaders across the organization, including current Ilitch Holdings, Inc. Vice President of Communications Jamie Langdon, to deliver an engaging, relevant, and digital-first approach to communications and branding.

His proven skills and broad professional experiences make him a strong addition to our team.”
Kuiper brings nearly 25 years of marketing and communications experience to his new role at the Ilitch companies. Kuiper returns to the organization from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, where for more than three years he led the teams responsible for marketing Michigan, including through the state’s award-winning business marketing and Pure Michigan campaigns. Kuiper previously served as Vice President of Corporate Communications at Ilitch Holdings, Inc. between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, he served as Chief Marketing Officer for cloud software provider Covisint and as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Compuware Corporation.

A Michigan native, Kuiper earned his undergrad and graduate degrees in English from the University of Michigan and Wayne State University, respectively. He and his family reside in the Detroit area.
