The 2023 campaign will be full of excitement for Tigers fans, as the club enters its first season under the new leadership of President of Baseball Operations Scott Harris. Opening Day in Detroit, Presented by Rocket Mortage, is scheduled for Thursday, April 6 vs. Boston. To ensure as many Tigers fans as possible have the opportunity to experience Opening Day, there is a maximum of eight tickets available per person to that game.

Major League Baseball’s new balanced schedule debuts this season, meaning the Tigers will play every other team at least once in 2023. That schedule features home series against some of baseball’s marquee teams, including Boston (April 6, 8-9), San Francisco (April 14-16), New York Mets (May 2-4), Atlanta (June 12-14), Toronto (July 7-9), Chicago (August 21-23), and New York Yankees (August 28-31).

In response to feedback from stakeholders around Tigers baseball, including fans, television rightsholders and baseball operations, weeknight home games this season will have a first pitch of 6:40 p.m. Fans are encouraged to visit the schedule on Tigers.com for a full listing of up-to-date game times.

One key storyline across baseball will be celebrating the final season in the career of a generation’s greatest hitter – Miguel Cabrera. The “Miggy Celebration 4-Pack” is now available on Tigers.com, and includes a ticket to Opening Day, April 29 vs. the Baltimore Orioles, June 10 against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Sept. 30 vs. the Cleveland Guardians.

“With pitchers and catchers working out in Lakeland, we’re certainly feeling the passion of Tigers fans as a new season begins in Tigertown and the anticipation builds for Opening Day in Detroit,” said Chris McGowan, President and CEO of Ilitch Sports + Entertainment. “We’re constantly listening to feedback from fans and stakeholders and our staff has been hard at work this off-season enhancing the fan experience and addressing topics we hear about, ranging from increasing the quantity of giveaway items to moving up the start time for weeknight games. In addition, it’s going to be an emotional celebration of Miguel Cabrera’s final season as a player, which has led to strong demand for Tigers tickets during our on-sale windows so far this winter.”

Thanks to the commitment of corporate partners, and new this year, the Tigers have increased the number of giveaway items as the first 15,000 fans throught the gates will receive the promotional item for each of the below dates. Fridays will be a “Party in the Park,” featuring fireworks, live music and entertainment.
