Ilitch Companies Colleagues Partner with Meijer and Life Remodeled for Neighborhood Clean-Up
Upholding the corporate value of giving back, colleagues from Ilitch Companies recently volunteered with Life Remodeled’s Six Day Project, which has annually led beautification projects in Detroit. The effort was in partnership with Meijer as part of the Detroit Tigers City Connect initiative.
More than 50 colleague volunteers worked in the east side neighborhood that will be home to Life Remodeled’s new Anchor Detroit, which will serve as an opportunity hub for Denby residents, providing access to educational, job and health and wellness resources.
“At the Ilitch Companies, we strongly believe that colleague engagement in our local communities is a critical part of our organization’s culture,” said Joshua Sanborn, Director of the Ilitch Companies Foundation. “The mission of Life Remodeled and other likeminded nonprofits aligns with our community goals of positively impacting Detroit, both downtown and in the city’s neighborhoods.”
As the holiday season approaches, Ilitch Companies colleagues will volunteer at nonprofits including Focus:HOPE, Forgotten Harvest, Gleaners Community Food Bank, The Children’s Center Holiday Shop, and others that are dedicated to helping the people of Detroit.
