External Elevator to Accelerate Construction Progress at Historic 150 Bagley
Progress on delivering new market-rate and affordable housing to The District Detroit continues as Bagley Development Group’s restoration of the former United Artists Building is transformed into the Residences @150 Bagley. Abatement and materials delivery will be assisted by the recent installation of an outside “buck hoist” elevator supporting the delivery of skilled tradespeople and materials to the historic building’s upper levels. The buck hoist, which is installed by family-owned Metro Elevator, is bright pink to raise awareness for breast cancer research in support of Susan G. Komen, the world’s foremost breast cancer research and educational organization.
Located in a thriving neighborhood adjacent to Grand Circus Park, the Residences@150 Bagley will not only bring new market-rate and affordable housing to The District Detroit, but also has dining and retail space anticipated for the street level. Detroit-based Brinker-Christman is the construction manager, Hobbs+Black is lead architect. Additional affordable and market-rate housing in The District Detroit is now available in the Eddystone, which was completed late last year.
