To kick off Hispanic Heritage Month and pay tribute to the contributions of Latino players and coaches to the game of baseball, the Detroit Tigers are proud to host Hispanic Heritage Night on Friday, Sept. 13, the 19th annual ¡Fiesta Tigres! celebration presented by Miller Lite on Saturday, Sept. 14 and Roberto Clemente Day on Sunday, Sept. 15. The Tigers will host the Baltimore Orioles for the weekend series, with tickets available at Tigers.com/Tickets.

"We are excited to celebrate ¡Fiesta Tigres! with our passionate fans, players and coaches of Latin American descent, as well as the vibrant city of Detroit," said Tigers Vice President of Marketing Asia Gholston. "It's a special day to honor the rich cultural contributions and baseball legacies of our Latin American community. We invite everyone to arrive early, enjoy the lively atmosphere and share in a day of pride, heritage and tradition at Comerica Park."

On Sunday, September 15, the Tigers will recognize pitcher Tarik Skubal as their 2024 Roberto Clemente Award nominee. Skubal and his wife, Jessica, have been incredibly active off the field throughout Tarik’s career in Detroit, highlighted by their support for Alternatives for Girls, an organization that seeks to empower homeless and at-risk young women by providing critical interventions and support. Skubal has also made donations to the Detroit Tigers Foundation, which has awarded millions of dollars in grants, Tigers tickets and college scholarships for youth throughout Michigan, Ohio and southern Ontario, Canada.

Throughout the Baltimore series, the Tigers will distribute more than 1,500 tickets to local Hispanic organizations as part of the ¡Fiesta Tigres! celebration. All three games will be broadcast in Spanish, and can be heard on the Audacy app, the MLB app and on Bally Sports Detroit SAP. Detroit’s Spanish broadcasts this season are presented by Priority.
